I was contacted by Amanda today who needs just a few more people to take her survey so she can finish her research and get her PhD. She’s a clinical psychology doctoral student interested in learning more about the experiences of those whose partners (at least sometimes) interfere with their weight loss. I can’t take it because I don’t fit the criteria (sad…because I love taking surveys!), but maybe you do or know somebody who does?
She’s offering to donate $1 to charity for each survey completed (you get to choose which one).
The survey is designed for those who can answer yes to the following questions:
- Have you been participating in a weight loss program for the last 5 consecutive weeks?
- Have you been in a committed, cohabitating relationship for the last two years?
- Do you ever feel like your current partner/spouse gets in the way of your weight loss?
All the information about the anonymous, online survey is hosted here at the university’s website:
There’s more information about her study at the link above. I checked out her university web site and grad program and this looks legit to me. All right, anybody who can should take the study and help out the cause of science and higher education!!
