Today I ended up going for a walk in unreasonable shoes at lunch time because I somehow failed to bring my comfy shoes. I walked for about 30 minutes, and it wasn’t too bad on my feet, although certainly not my first option for walking shoes. I didn’t want to miss out on my walk though. It’s not just for weight management – I find that a midday walk really helps to clear my mind and get me back in the game for the rest of the work day. So that’s what I do with my lunch hour – I eat my lunch at my desk then go for a quick walk – 20-30 minutes is a good length for me.
Tonight I intend to spend time with some friends, however they are planning on pizza and beer for dinner, so I will eat at home and skip the pizza but join them later for the company. Tomorrow I will likely get back to running, however my leg is still aching a bit so that plan will need to be flexible. It is probably more accurate to say, “Tomorrow I will plan to get some vigorous exercise, in whatever fashion I am capable of doing it.”
